For one of our clients, we are currently looking for a hotel housekeeper.

A Hotel Housekeeper plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and an inviting atmosphere for guests in a hotel. They are responsible for ensuring that guest rooms, public areas, and other hotel facilities are clean and well-maintained, contributing to a positive guest experience.



Key Responsibilities:

1. Room Cleaning:

- Clean and tidy guest rooms, including making beds, changing linens, and replacing amenities.

- Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and dust surfaces.

- Ensure all furniture, fixtures, and room appliances are clean and in working order.

- Report any maintenance or repair issues in guest rooms promptly.

2. Bathroom Maintenance:

- Sanitize and clean bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, and mirrors.

- Replace towels, toiletries, and other supplies as needed.

- Ensure proper disposal of used toiletries and waste.

3. Public Areas and Hallways:

- Clean and maintain public areas such as lobbies, corridors, elevators, and lounges.

- Vacuum, dust, and mop common spaces to maintain a neat appearance.

- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.

4. Laundry Management:

- Collect dirty linens and towels from guest rooms.

- Sort, wash, dry, and fold laundry according to hotel standards.

- Maintain an organized linen storage area.

5. Restocking and Inventory:

- Restock guest room amenities and supplies.

- Keep track of inventory and report shortages to the supervisor.

- Maintain cleaning equipment and report any malfunction.

6. Lost and Found:

- Report and store any lost items found during cleaning tasks.

- Follow hotel procedures for handling lost and found items.

7. Guest Interaction:

- Provide friendly and responsive service when interacting with guests.

- Address guest requests and complaints promptly and professionally.

- Respect guest privacy and adhere to the hotel's confidentiality policies.

8. Health and Safety:

- Follow hotel safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

- Report any safety hazards or incidents to the supervisor.

9. Teamwork:

- Collaborate with other hotel staff, including front desk personnel and maintenance teams, to ensure a seamless guest experience.

- Assist in other housekeeping tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

- Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role is advantageous.

- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment.

- Attention to detail and a strong work ethic.

- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.

- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry heavy items.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills.

- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
